Our wedding venue is located on the Athenian Riviera, along the south coast of Athens. The city center, with its historic landmarks, is just 35 minutes away. When visiting the city center from the south coast, we recommend taking a taxi or the metro, as parking in the city center can be difficult.

Currency: Greece uses the Euro (€). While credit cards are widely accepted,  it’s always handy to carry some cash for smaller establishments and local markets.

Weather: Summers in Athens can be quite hot, with daytime temperatures in early September often reaching as high as 36°C. We recommend wearing hats, applying sunscreen, and staying hydrated with plenty of water.

Safety: Athens is generally safe, but like any major city, it’s important to stay aware of your surroundings and watch out for pickpockets, especially in crowded areas.

Language: Many Greeks speak English, but learning a few basic Greek phrases can enhance your experience and is appreciated by locals. Try “Kalimera” (Good morning), “Kalispera” (Good evening), and “Efharisto” (Thank you).

Getting Around: For taxis, you can easily use the FREENOW and UBER apps, for a quick and convenient way to get around the city. The metro system is also convenient and efficient for navigating Athens.
